Scroll Stopping Instagram Interiors from #cdnblogsquad

I spend a lot of time on Instagram. I’ve only recently gotten into watching Instagram Stories, but I still prefer the good ‘ol Instagram feed as a go to for inspiration (and cute dog photos). I’m starting a few feature here called ‘Scroll Stopping’ – essentially a collection of my favourite posts from the last little while, from some of my favourite accounts to follow.

Today is all about two things: Interior shots, and the #cdnblogsquad hashtag! There’s an absolutely lovely group of (mostly) ladies from all across Canada that share photos with the #cdnblogsquad hashtag, created by a few of the bloggers in a wonderful Canadian Home Decor Bloggers Facebook Group that I’m a part of. Without further ado, here are some Insta photos that have stopped me in my scroll lately.

1. Christina from The DIY Mommy’s Floral Bedroom

This photo has convinced me that I need a new bed frame and a bedroom makeover ASAP just so i can have that floral garland up on top of the bed. It helps that there are three adorable kids in the photo too, but Christina’s bedroom style is spot on to what I wish my home looked like. I went online window shopping for the exact bed after seeing this and now I’m working on getting Sean on board with a bedroom makeover (in addition to the kitchen, basement, living room and home office makeovers I have planned….)

Erin from DIY Passion’s Cozy Living Room

{ANNOUNCEMENT} I remember the first time I made a 'blogger friend'. I sent her an awkward email telling her I admired her work and literally asked if we could be friends because, at the time, I didn't know anyone else who was doing what I was doing. Fast forward to now and the value of those connections among bloggers, creatives, solopreneurs is incalculable. We technically 'do it alone', but it's so much better, more fulfilling and fun when you have a Team behind you. I mean, everyone needs a Team. I never would have launched DIY Passion Media, Erin Trafford Live or even In The Storyhouse without the support and mentorship of the incredible blogging community. And so today, I'm giving back in the best way I know how. It's now my mission to make sure every blogger, creator and digital solopreneur has a strong and dedicated Team. 💝 💝 Jennifer @ramblingreno and I are proud to announce the launch of TEAM STORYHOUSE, a community and mentoring hub for creative souls. We’ve taken the best of our in-person @blogpodium conference and moved it online: chat discussions, special interest groups, digital speed networking with brands, webinars and face time with experts, mastermind accelerated learning, online and in-person events – that’s where it will all happen. Plus we do heart work too because we believe the best results are achieved when you combine heart with the hustle. 💙 If you feel Team Storyhouse is what you need in your life as an entrepreneur and creative soul, check us out at Storyhouseco.com or visit the link in my bio. We put community first, and focus on support, encouragement, and learning from your peers. I hope you’ll join us. Don’t you just want to curl up in that chair with a good book and a cup of coffee? Erin’s room looks so cozy – which is exactly the atmosphere you want in a living room. The artwork on the wall also caught my eye with those great touches of pink!

Jen from Rambling Renovators’ Chic Office

*Announcement* It’s been about eight years now since I last worked in a traditional work environment. You know what I miss most about it? The conversations and community feeling. The walking down the hallway to the washroom and saying good morning to the same three friends. The feeling you get when you’re with your team and you’re all brainstorming and crafting the best PowerPoint presentation ever. The quick emails you send to a coworker when you don’t know how to use the new SAP system, and by the way, want to go for sushi lunch? 🍱 What if a place like that existed for solopreneurs and creatives and bloggers, just like me? A virtual water cooler, office space, and idea incubator all-in-one? Now it does. 🖥 Erin @diypassionblog and I are proud to announce the launch of TEAM STORYHOUSE, a community and mentoring hub for creative souls. I’ve been thinking all about home office spaces lately (check out my industrial pink and gold home office moodboard) but since I can’t start working on the makeover until the fall, I’ve been stopping to stare at every home office photo I can find! I love how clean + tidy this room feels, but still with a little bit of personal touches in the items on the awesome memo board.

Ariel from PMQ for Two’s Bright + Bold Living Room

Ariel has, by far, one of my favourite blogger homes anywhere, not just in Canada. I’d do anything for pink walls that look as amazing as this, and rugs filled with so many colours.

Thalita from The Learner Observer’s Classic Kitchen

Today was JAM PACKED! Grocery store, picking out accessories for an insanely exciting project downtown, a quick meeting with a friend, and now home to make fajitas for dinner. . I’m tired. Like, REAL tired. But fulfilled. And grateful. You know? . I’m also almost done with my guide to choosing white paint that so many of you voted on, and it includes the white you see on these very walls! Grey is next. Anything else you need help with? Maybe backsplash sources, or countertops? Let me know!! . . . #apartmenttherapy #sodomino #theeverygirlathome #currenthomeview #homewithrue #inmydomaine #simplystyleyourspace #ckstyleaccordingly #smmakelifebeautiful #everydayibt #mypinterest #lindsayhillloves #smpliving #bhgcelebrate #lonnyliving #beckiowensfeature #lcdotcomloves #brightwhitewednesday #michellejaneensfridayfaves #handmademodernhome #cdnblogsquad #torontoblogger #canadianblogger #hometohave #cljsquad

Since we’re currently planning a mini-kitchen makeover, the black cabinets here stopped me in my tracks immediately! I’ve been a big fan of the dark wood + black paint look lately so the black cabinets paired with the dark wood open shelving has me feeling mega heart-shaped-eyes emjoii. I thought we had finally decided to go with all white cabinets but this is making me want to go back to the idea of black lower cabinets.
